Great view of the sunset during dinner. Great food and the BEST Key Lime Pie on the island!! It's their crust that puts it over the top! I've been here 3 times and never had a bad experience.

Great food and service! Wonderful view!! Best burger in south Florida! Another big fav is the Caesar salad with mahi definitely recommend!

Love the view. Food was pretty good. No service on the beach/patio area. Great sunset area. Recommend the PainKiller rum drink

Sunset and the service were all excellent. Food was so so, scallops were over cooked and mixed drink was short on mix and gin long on ice.

Went here on recommendation of concierge at hotel, and they must have been talking about the restaurant upstairs because we went to the bar and it was lousy. Great situation, but mojitos tasted like they had no rum in them, and everything we ate tasted like it was cooked from frozen our poured out of a jar or a paper bag. Nothing original or interesting about the place, and the waitress didn't seem interested in us taking our time, plus she was entirely lacking in humor. A cruddy start to a five-day visit to the Keys.

First we stopped by the water front bar for some happy hour drinks. the view was great, if only it wasn't rainy, then the sunset, I imagine it to have been superb! Then we went over to the Italian restaurant for dinner. it was super quiet when we went on a monday night. However the service was good. the bread was so delicious, so much garlic! the serving sizes for our dinners was quite insane. I got the antipasto salad (it was HUGE!) and my husband got the chicken parmesan. He loves chicken parmesan and said this was one of the best he's ever had. I had a couple bites, and I'm usually indifferent. but this was REALLY, REALLY good. we were too stuffed to try dessert as much as i wanted to!

Not many options of food. The mahi I ordered wasn't even cooked, it was slimey and gross I got sick after the first bite. Gross place, beautiful view.

Nice view. Conch fritters were good. Dinner salad was horrible - soggy, wilted, mostly iceberg lettuce - skip it. We got the ocean bounty bucket. Very disappointing. Dry, almost burned, mostly batter. One piece of fish, two conch fritters with no conch - hush puppies really and four shrimp with tons of fries. The fries were really good. I like Joe's Crab Shack fried food much better than this. I'd like this place for the view and a drink and maybe an app. I would not try it for dinner again.

The bar on the ground floor is great. Low key, good musician, good bar food (especially the conch ceviche) and the view is spectacular. Drinks are a bit pricey for a small plastic cup, but well made. Lots of locals, but plenty of tourists too make for a good mix. Friendly staff. Well worth a trip, especially around sunset. 4 stars. The upstairs is another story. And that story is lousy. We went upstairs for dinner a little before 9. About 15-20 people, mostly finishing their meals. We were one of 2 new tables - a four top and our twosome. We were between 2 items and the server recommended one...the more expensive choice, which was fine. 30 minutes later it comes out. Everyone else had left except for the other group who were halfway done with their meal. I like fresh seafood, but were they actually catching our fish?! Then, just to be safe, I ask how it was prepared. Turns out, the way they make it uses something I am allergic to, even though there is no mention of that ingredient on the menu. The waitress says they can make it again, but it will take another 20 minutes. So now it's quarter to 10, and I ate a crab cake and the free bread. Not even an offer of a free dessert. Oh, and my girlfriend said the lobster and shrimp were completely overcooked and tough. What could be a great place is totally not worth it. Overpriced, long waits, lousy food. 1 star. Stick with the bar for drinks, the view, apps, and grab dinner elsewhere.

This is a great place for the Pain Killer! It was made just right, delicious! Listen to Nick, punch this place into your GPS because there is no sign out front by the road. My boyfriend and I were staying in Key Largo over Valentines Day weekend at The Pelican, this was in walking distance. We made our way up the blue lit stairs and into the restaurant/bar for a few drinks and appetizers. Great location, friendly bartender upstairs, great drinks! I definitely recommend the Pain Killer!! Yum!

This review is for the worst mojito I ever had. I had the Key lime mojito which is the "House Specialty", I'm not sure if the bartender poured any rum on it, but it seemed like I paid $17 for two club soda with a splash of lime. If this is their signature drink I can't imagine the others.

Beautiful sunset AND really excellent food. The wife and I stopped by last night due to all the good reviews on Yelp. We were not disappointed. We both took the "add a salad to the entree for $3" option, and the Caesars were excellent. I had the broiled trio (last night was mahi, yellowtail snapper and grouper)--all were seasoned and cooked just right, but the grouper stole the show...fantastic piece of fish. The Ms. had the crabcakes, which are seasoned in a Caribbean style. Never had crab cakes that way, and they were excellent. A couple of glasses of wine, excellent cranberry rolls, and orange rum cake topped off a delightful meal. If you need your fish fix i. The Keys, this is a great choice.

Great place, the soups were good, salads average. The entrees were Pink shrimps, grilled mahi, and grillied yellowfin snapper. They were all seasoned well and delicious. Great Key lime pie

Great place in Key Largo! A bit hidden but that's what makes it special. The hostess was very nice and helped us get a good view of the sunset over the water which is beautiful. The waitress was also nice. The appetizers all look good but were a bit small. The main entrees were amazing. The mahi was the best I've had yet.

Food options and quality are pretty standard for a beachside restaurant. However, it's the key lime pie that truly sets it apart, warranting a four star rating. We tried key lime pie at every place we ate at in the keys(5-6 places) and this is by far the best! Come for the view and the pie!

Great view of sunset over Key Largo

awesome setting right on the water, very friendly staff bar tenders and waitresses, drinks are reasonable and the key lime pie was simply amazing. We were on the island for a vacation and stumbled on this place and went once to watch the sunset. We went back a couple nights later and 3 of the staff remembered us and took the time to chat and visit...very nice and friendly...would go back in a minute. Only giving 4 stars because we did not eat there so can't say anything about the menu...other then the key lime pie was awesome and setting and staff were great.

Okay so 6 friends meet up in Miami for a relaxing week in Key Largo - all of us Keyes virgins. We quickly realized Key Largo is not the place for fine dining. Pizza Tower sucked, Pilot House was meh, and the Bayside Grille - not-so-bueno!!! We started with drinks - the house special martini tasted like a urinal cake, The tequila sunset was a cool-aid bomb and the mojitos were extra sweet. As far as the food goes there was no conch in the conch chowder, nor any other discerning flavor. My medium rare steak was overcooked and the A1 sauce did nothing for the meal. The shrimp bucket was a fried ball of goodness, probably the only good thing on the menu, although anything fried is pretty good. The crab cake meal had a mild resemblance to kitty litter - very dry. And finally our friend's beef tips were like grizzel bits. 6 drinks, 6 entrees, and a slice of super sweet key lime pie - $200 including tip.

Stopped by here with my family and everyone was pleased. We were seated quickly and the staff was very friendly. The prices were good, as were the portions (both food and drinks). Everyone said that they liked their food (Yellowtail, meatloaf (in Key Largo?), Key Lime seafood pasta. One warning: I ordered the Seafood Diablo pasta and the waiter warned me that it was spicy. It was. I finished it because I can take the heat, however, that heat completely obscured the flavor of the shrimp, clams and scallops. If you can't taste anything but peppers, what's the point of the dish?

After a bad experience and a bad review, the owner personally contacted me and apologized for the poor service and offered to make it up to us. By then we had left Key Largo, but I appreciated the offer. So 5 stars goes to a caring owner. Plus, the food really did look and smell delicious.

We ate here after dark so we missed the great views but I have to say the food was horrible as we're the drinks. The veggies are obviously from a bag. There is very little taste to the food. Mohitos were awful. Nice people, ok service but they need a chef and a real bartender.

Good food but service can be slow downstairs. Great sunset view!

The view of Florida Bay is awesome and the food was too. We ate there twice for lunch and their lunch specials were delicious. Had the manicotti and the chicken enchiladas and I was thrilled with both. The fried plantains were a bit disappointing, but my husband enjoyed the grilled mahi mahi sandwich and conch fritters. They even had a "Winter Warm-ups" menu, it was 80 degrees! How cute is that!

Had a very nice bucket of various fried sea food. Nice food but a bit heavy in the crust. Great fries.

Such a typical Key Largo restaurant! My friends and I opted for something a little less touristy than Sundowners and the Buzzard's Roost, and went for the picturesque Bayside Grille. While I longed for Sundowner's bread bowl clam chowder, Bayside Grille did not disappoint with it's fresh seafood, and a great view of the bay, of course! It's a little hard to find, since it's behind a building, but affords a nice, unobstructed view, since it's on the second floor. I had the fish basket, fried, and can shamelessly say that I ate it all. The fish had a nice crispy texture and was up to my seafood standards, and I've had a lot of that stuff! The service was a little slow, but we were all feeling lazy and relaxed on a Saturday afternoon, so didn't mind so much. The place definitely doesn't have the energy of Buzzard's or the Fish House Encore, but for a quiet meal with satisfactory Mahi Mahi, I liked it. Additionally, we ordered the conch fritters... they were really small, but very tasty, quite as good as the one's in Key West. I recommend them.

As recommended by other Yelpers, we ordered the seafood quesadillas and you know what? They are BETTER than was suggested. Outrageous! Nice vibe, good service, beautiful sunset views. Skip the themed cocktails and stick with the beer.

This place is just horrible. I visited this restaurant to grab a bite after visiting john pennekamp. First, they took a long time to take our order. Then the waitress was so rude and with an attitude took our order. The food turned out to be sloppy and grease. I ordered the mahi sandwich. It was so tasteless i could only eat half. My recommendation is: at all cost, eat somewhere else. Save your money and hunger for another and perhaps better place.

Food and drinks were great. Service was slow. There were only 2 waitresses for over 12 tables. They need to hire more help. View and atmosphere is great.

We went there last Saturday mostly to have a late lunch/early dinner while watching the sunset. The view is great, a little too sunny in the afternoon, but great. The place was full, so was the bar downstairs. We asked for a wine list and they show us one that doesn t match the one they have on their website. We had a white Italian wine bottle for $ 25.00. The wine was cold and good. We started with steamed baby clams as an appetizer. They were ok too. Entrees: my wife had a lobster stuffed with crabmeat (imagine a crab cake squeezed in the lobster s head). It was really good. Price $ 29.00 and change. I ask for the Mahi mahi with avocado sauce. The serve it with rice and pinto bean and veggies. The portion was big but the avocado sauce was literally rotten. I took it out of the fish and tried to keep eating but couldn t keep on. The waitress was very attentive and took it away and bring me a new Mahi mahi with no sauce ( I requested it that way). Key Lime pie is good according to my wife. Expresso coffee was great too. We were gladly surprised when the check arrived and realized they took out my entree completely out of it. It says it was due to Manager s instructions. NIce. The sunset was beautiful, we went downstairs bought a beer and enjoy the live music and the breeze from the sea. We will go back for sure.

This place totally blows. I would never recommend this dump to anyone. I had the mahi fish taco bucket. The fish was burnt on the outside and slimy on the inside... how you do that I will never know. They tried to mask the horrible taste with a key lime sour cream which I admit was actually pretty good. Coleslaw was pretty bland. French fries pretty good. Mojito average. My friend had the crab cakes which where completely burnt on the bottom. The consistency of the crab cakes were like catfood and didn't taste much like crab. Not to be rude but I have had better crab cakes at T.G.I. Friday's. He also had a Brazilian Shrimp Stew. It was like a bowl of Campbell's vegetable soup with a couple mini shrimp. My boyfriend has the fried shrimp bucket which he loved. I tried it ... pretty good. The view is great at this place but, I would suggest 'Sundowner's right down the street. The view is better. The service is impeccable. And the food is freaking amazing!!

Great sunsets views on the water. Live entertainment downstairs. The restaurant food upstairs is very good but we found it a little tight with large walls blocking the beautiful bay views .Also restaurant is very hard to find. Still definitely worth a visit.

Had dinner here on Thursday night and again on Saturday night. Great place to watch the sunset and listen to live music. No waiting for a table either night. Fish tacos and mahi sandwich were both good, but not great. Still my favorite restaurant in Key Largo.

First time here - sadly I missed the sunset because I went to the other bayside place where I almost stayed for the sports bar. #foodie But I found my friends and this place down a lane/parking lot/driveway. We sat upstairs. My sis loves this place - big coconut shrimp fan - and my parents are fans. The service is OUTSTANDING and if I rates in that alone I would give this place a 5 star. But my fish tacos - great flavor but cold and my fries were cold. The meatloaf was so-so but the potatoes were good. The cranberry rolls were super yummy! I would come back - a little earlier to get the sunset and I would probably stay on the ground floor with the live music.

Dive bar with great music (live) and good food. Not a huge selection but they cover the bases: conch, shrimp, ahi, burgers, salad. Bartenders are very friendly and quick to keep an eye on your drink level. Clearly on first name basis with regulars. If you want to somewhere and feel welcome, this is it!
(4)
Kate B.
Fish tacos were good but not awesome. Sweet potato fries were pretty similar to anywhere you go. Great experience though. Nice view, band playing... Staff made you feel welcome and were kind. I'd come back; their menu is vast! Orange rum cake was yummy :)

It's been 2 years since my boyfriend and I vacationed to Key Largo and had dinner at this wonderful establishment... to this day, any time we try somewhere new the Bayside Grille is our point of reference... and to this day, nothing has matched up! Truly the best meal of our lives, and my boyfriend is a very picky "foody" type as he's been a fine dining restaurant manager for nearly 10 years. This is still the best restaurant experience we've ever had. Perfect blend of being casual, with REAL portion sizes (I HATE that about quote "Fine dining"), reasonably priced, but food that is 5 star quality. We Started with the Hibiscus cocktail and the artichoke/crab dip, and I had this mustard style steak that was by far and beyond the best steak I've gotten, anywhere. I've tried multiple times to recreate it at home, and it's never the same. Neither him or I remember what he got because my steak was so incredible, he ate half... but I can tell you that he didn't leave anything on his plate either! lol My now Fiancee and I are starting wedding plans, and seriously considering coming back to Key Largo JUST to have our reception dinner here! Really, nothing bad to say about the place... great service, incredible food, we even watched a hurricane roll through outside those BEAUTIFUL full wall windows while we were there. An experience to remember, and worth every penny.

Here is what you need to know. On the water, great for sunsets! They have PUSSER'S PAINKILLER - a family favorite drink with Pusser's Rum. They have good live music. And the food, also pretty darn good. Why not 5 stars? Well the music could be better, well I mean more my style. There is a indoor sections upstairs that I have never been in yet. I am in the Keys, it is sunset, I want to eat outside! There is likely a bigger menu upstairs, but the food are the bar menu is really good! You can't go wrong with the place. Best place to grab food at sunset on Key Largo.

We had the catch of the day fish tacos and they were amazing!! The service was excellent along with the waterfront views!! We will def be returning on our next vacation!!

This is one of our favorite places in Key Largo to eat. The mahi and grouper is outstanding. The views are spectacular. I love the spicy seafood conch chowder! You can arrive by car or boat. It's a little hard to find by car as it's in a back lot behind a Salvation army store, if I remember correctly. It's nothing fancy but you will enjoy lunch or dinner dining.

Really can't find many things that would cause me to give them more than 3 stars. I was at 2, but their deep-dish Key Lime Pie gave them one more star, though I'm quite positive they don't make it in-house. It's a rather odd establishment with way too much blue and purple rope lighting, but they do have an awesome sunset view on the water (another reason for the 3rd star). Staff was friendly enough, but we had to find someone to see about a table even though tons of staff passed us. It was clear that no one knew where to go and since there was no true hostess stand and no "seat yourself" sign you kind of see a lot of wanderers. Not sure where previous Yelpers found the quesadillas since our waitress said they didn't think they ever had them there, but they had Seafood Enchiladas (quite different from quesadillas) and they were indeed tasty, but the portion was certainly big enough for my me and my husband to share. All in all not a bad place, it was convenient to our hotel, but they're quite slow and it's just not a place that would really bring you back for anything, except maybe the sunset, a cocktail and key lime pie.

Go for the view, day or night. Food was good, so was the service. The restaurant offers a great dance floor and bar at night.

Stopped here for dinner and a sunset view on my first evening in the Keys. Service was good, food was tasty and the sunset was totally killer. More like 3.5 stars. I'd recommend the Bayside Grill to anyone looking for a good meal at a reasonable price.

Dinner three nights in a row here. Great view, solid food, good service. Be aware that the "reserved" tables may not actually be reserved, so if you want a particular table that has a sign, ask directly. Walk out on the pier after dinner and check out the sea life in the sunken flood lights under it.

Excellent Italian cuisine. Will definitely return. I am very particular about my my linguine and clams, and it was OUTSTANDING! Prices are reasonable as well. All in all, very happy with the experience.

This is my favorite restaurant in Key Largo! It is hidden so you have to look for it with a GPS if you have never visited. The food is perfect every time and the view is one of the best around because the restaurant is built on the second floor. IT has a rap around balcony and the entire place has an incredible view of the Florida Bay (Buttonwood Sound). A+ in my book PS - check in via your Yelp app and you might get a special deal. ;)

While enjoying a great dinner next door at Snook's I wandered onto the deck and I noticed a raucous crowd enjoying the live music at DiGiorgio's. Naturally after dinner we decided to go check out the scene. You have to be looking for DiGiogio's to find it as it is down a narrow street and the entrance isn't prominent. When we arrived there was a live music duo playing some great rock classics. The bar is no-frills old school keys. Drinks here are reasonable and the atmosphere is very casual. There are picnic tables on the sand where you can enjoy the music but no table service so if you sit here you need to go to the bar yourself, however there are also table service seats available if you want to grab a bite. Just drinks for us but overall I would come back here again as it is an awesome place to enjoy the sunset with an awesome laid-back keys vibe.

Beautiful location on the water, great place for a sunset! The restaurant is divided between a laid back downstairs bar area with live music (where we sat) or a second level enclosed (air conditioned) dining area. Basically, decide what kind of vibe you want and it's there! After we sat down we were surprised at how small the menu was (minus a star). We settled on the churrasco, fish tacos, and a Caesar salad. The food was good, but the mixed drinks were eh (weak). That was definitely a major buzz kill (ba doom chi)! Unfortunately, I had to remove another star for that... like I said this place was all about atmosphere. We wanted a laid back bar vibe to sip on drinks, but if the drinks aren't there neither is the vibe. So would I go back? I think so. It's a place that makes you feel like you are on vacation (downstairs at least, not sure if the experience upstairs would be different)! Side note, just reviewed the menu that is posted on yelp and there seems to be more of a selection. Not sure if it's because we came in at lunch time or because we were in the bar portion rather than the restaurant. Will definitely increase them by a star on my next visit if there is more to the menu !

Last night in Key Largo (a Saturday), had to see what the rave was because everyone recommends this place for the sunset views. The truth is, anywhere you could eat or go bayside will have great views. The attraction here is that the dining area is elevated and mostly glass, so is does cater to the view. My wife and I shared the Buffalo Popcorn Shrimp as an appetizer and the Seafood enchiladas. Both very good. Hard to get bad seafood anywhere in the Keys, but being from Texas we are admittedly Mexican food snobs. And while their version of Mexican isn't mine, it was still very good. Chased the food down with a Sunset Margarita and a Black Pearl (Pina Colada w/ dark rum). Both of those were as expected...too sweet, too light on liquor. Service was good, friendly and quick. But the highlight of the evening was the live music downstairs on the "beach" area. Great blues from Lauren Mitchell Band watching the sunset - worth the trip.

We loved this place right on the bay. We were staying in a houseboat right off to the right so we decided to kayak over here for drinks and snacks one night and lunch the next. David the bartender will absolutely make you feel like a local, there is a great happy hour $3 drinks, and their food is good. We had seaweed salad and fish spread which was yummy. The next day we shared a burger which is huge and very yummy along with coconut shrimp. Everything was good and the location is one of the best in the keys!!

Although it's a wonderful place to watch the sunset, the restaurant is garbage. Very low quality food that you can tell has more preservatives than a box of Twinkies. My husband who has a soy allergy was only able to eat an unseasoned grilled fish with plain steamed vegetables. Both the fish and the vegetables were overcooked so he left hangry. My dish was the only decent tasting one at the table, which was the seafood enchilada. Lots of sauce and "extras" but I guess that's why it tasted good. The bread is pretty delicious but c'mon, they're basically cinnamon rolls. We were pretty grossed out by dessert, so we didn't order any. Also, the service was bordering awful as the food took forever to come out. Sure it's a convenient location but no thanks, we will be skipping out next time.

We stopped here on a recommendation from our hotel staff and a couple of people from our diving trip. The restaurant is on the second floor, the first floor houses an open air bar and live music. We were able to be seated right away, and we actually sat right above where they were playing music so we were able to enjoy that. On this particular evening it was just an acoustic guitar performance. We ordered drinks and looked over the menu, our server brought over these yummy biscuits and dipping sauce. Once we got our drinks we placed an order for the plantains. I love plantains, so I was really looking forward to these. However, they were not what I was hoping for. We received them pretty quickly, but they were barely warm. They were covered in sauce - a very sweet fruit sauce, it was too much. If the sauce would have been on the side or just barely drizzled on the plantains, it would have been much better. We placed our dinner orders, pulled pork stuffed chicken and steak chimichurri. The entrees were definitely large portions and they were served hot. The food was average, nothing special. The service was average.

Gorgeous sunsets; nice dock to walk along; reasonable prices and quality food make this a winner. Very nice upstairs hostess. Broad menu; live music. Great stop after a great snorkeling trip with Keys Diver.

Great service, great food, just wish we could've eaten outside....touristy and need updating but I had great coconut shrimp and my husband had great fish tacos. Menu was really diverse and it was hard to choose! Drinks were typical touristy but nice and strong for an afternoon relaxing moment.

After all the rave, my family and I decided to try this restaurant one evening just before sunset. After walking in we were super excited for the views. However, This is where the excitement ended. We were greeted by a crass waitress who gave a gasp when we ordered water while we asked for time to look at the drink menu. Then without much time she came back. Three of the people at the table made quick decisions while the last couldn't decide. When asking to please come back again the waitress rolled her eyes in frustrated disgust. Therefore in less than 5-6 minutes after arriving we decided not to order food or the fourth drink. We wanted to at least enjoy the drinks we had over the setting sun, but they were quite weak and a bit too sweet. Wouldn't recommend unless you don't have any great expectations. Live music and sunset were the best part.

I thought the food was very good. You must try the conch fritters. Great outside bar with live music and a fantastic view. Beer was nice and cold too. I would definitely return.

We visited here on our last night in Key Largo, per our hotel's recommendation that it has the best sunset views. The sunset was absolutely beautiful - The restaurant is on the second floor and overlooks a dock and the bay with dozens of sailboats anchored around. You can sit inside or on the deck for a better view. Aside from the view, however, the menu was quite unremarkable. We had two drinks and tried the bread, which was a sweet cranberry roll served with a key-lime spread. A little too sweet for pre-meal. After drinks we looked through the menu, which was a little too eclectic. (Read: Unfocused.) It featured burgers, "krab," and a curry dish with Cuban rice and beans, among other oddities. All of the dishes either featured kute mis-spellings (note the sarkasm) or did not sound well-conceived at all - like the curry and Cuban combo. Ultimately, after the sunset had turned to dusk we elected to eat at the Fish House down the road, which we had very much enjoyed the night before.

Had a spectacular visit to Bayside Grille this afternoon. Views? Seafood nachos? Freshly prepared Mahi? Polite service? Pie?! Yeah, we had a great lunch next to a clear and clean view of the ocean. But guys. GUYS. That blackened Mahi is so utterly worth the visit. Our group also had the fried Mahi bucket, seafood enchiladas, and pan sauteed Mahi. The only one not great was the butter soaked, pan sauteed Mahi. But I'm biased. Butter is not tasty to me. Go for the blackened. Then we were like, dessert? Absolutely. Flan and key lime pie. What a grand way to top off a relaxing afternoon. The parking lot/restaurant is kind of tucked behind the building next to the main road, but if you continue on the paved road as soon as you turn in, it all leads to the lot. And that instagram-worthy pier... Yo. I'm coming back.

Had a good time. The seafood curry was very tasty. The tuna tower appetizer was very refreshing. Drinks are OK. The Ocean Bounty bucket was plentiful. The service is very friendly. The view is awesome. Will come back. Recommended.

It was mine and my familys first time in key largo. It was around dinner time as we headed back from the keys. It was hard finding the place but ince we found it, it was a little slice of paradise that we have been looking for all day. The happy hour they had was amazing at an amazing price. We sat on the beach while ordering everything. The sunset was amazing, along with the marine life. After ordering about 15 minutes prior, our food came out. Everything we had was amazing. It was our first time hearing about the konch fritters so of course we had to order them. And it was very different but delicious! The shrimp basket was very fresh and the fish tacos were phenominal. Compared to the other places were we have been to eat out, the prices were outstandingly affordable. Its safe to say that when we come back, we will most definitely be coming here.

Cute ocean front view, nice waitress and incredible fries. We ordered the catch of the day, a mahi-mahi sandwich. The fish seemed very fresh. The furnishings and appearance were nice and new. We rode up on our kayaks, parked in the sand and had a memorable meal.

Most amazing conch fritters and fish tacos! The staff is extremely friendly. Feels like family. And you HAVE to have the key lime pie. Best in the keys!! The view is outstanding, especially at sunset.

Sooo.. I'm moving out of florida, and decided to come to to the keys for the day specifically to come eat here because the food is so good... The conch fritters, the fish tacos, the key lime pie.. Honestly everything on the menu is good. Prices are VERY VERY decent, honestly Everytime I come to the keys I'll probably stop by and eat here because it's so delicious. The service is just as good. David is the best! :) enjoy!!

We came to Bayside Grille on a busy day, and to make things a little more "interesting", the bar downstairs was closed. So we put our name in for a table (expected wait time: over an hour), ordered drinks upstairs, and brought those drinks downstairs to watch the sunset. So the view is excellent, and the drinks (especially the key lime martini) are generally very good. Dinner came with cranberry rolls and a key lime glaze, which was a little too sweet for my tastes, but it didn't stop me from eating practically the entire basket. We ordered the conch fritters appetizer. We ordered conch fritters at just about every restaurant we visited during our time in the Keys, and I'd say these are at least tied for my favorite (tied with Fish House a couple of miles north). Good size, meaty and just all around perfect. We both ordered a seafood pasta with a key lime cream sauce (are we noticing a pattern on their menu?). Of course, after most of a basket of bread, half a plate of conch fritters, and a couple of drinks, there was no way I could finish the massive pasta dish. I put forth a mighty effort, but there was just too much. I enjoyed every bite though. Bayside Grille has a beautiful location going for it, and a dining area designed to take advantage of the coastal breeze. You'll pay a little more to eat here, but I'd say that the food alone is just about worth the price. The beauty of the location is just a fantastic added bonus.

The food here is awesome and the view was gorgeous. Great atmosphere and reasonable priced. Will definitely come back again.

Okay so Key Largo Fisheries was closed so we headed over to this 4 star yelp reviewed place on the water. The only thing that is 4 star about this place ended up being the beautiful view and the cold wine. The food was awful. The crab cakes were mushy and not like any Carib cake I've ever had. Inedible. The crab dip was a slop of unrecognizable ingredients. The conch ceviche was also a slew of unrecognizable ingredients which were stringy and tough. The basket of shrimp were over fried and therefore overcooked. The hog snapper "catch of the day" was undeniably previously frozen. The mahi was also previously frozen and the vegetables that came with both entrees were no doubt frozen vegetables that came out of a Birds Eye bag. Go for a cold glass of wine or beer and the view but do yourself a favor and skip the rest. They most certainly do not care about their food.

Come here for the view. The food is decent but nothing special. The staff can be rude, especially the tall bald guy with glasses. Avoid him as he does not like tourists.

The mahi mahi was the best ever. The Ahi salad & ginger dressing was awesome! Yum for the key lime pie

I was with Elaina J during her visit and I see the owner attacked her review. I'm going to be slightly kinder but these are the facts: - The view is gorgeous - The restaurant is clean - The staff is nice - The drinks are good - Our pinot grigio was very good, our Malbec was brownish and skunked - For a restaurant on the water, they do not have a raw bar, meaning they don't serve fresh clams, or shrimp, or oysters, nor do they have stone crabs. They're an 1/8 of a mile from a major stone crab fishery and they don't carry stone crabs. This is very telling about the restaurant because maybe they just don't or can't traffic in fresh ingredients. - The two fried shrimp baskets we ordered were delivered somewhere between dark brown and deep brown and every single milliliter of moisture was sucked out of the extremely dead shrimp - The crab cakes were extremely mushy, almost to the point of runny. My parents wouldn't even eat them because they deemed them uncooked inside. - The conch ceviche was good but unremarkable, exacerbated by the fact that the meat was shredded, not chopped, leaving you with weird strings of conch in your teeth. They're served with those cheap florescent green and florescent red tortilla chips that Mexican restaurants abandoned in 1995. - The crab dip looked like yellow crab lungs thrown into a blender and didn't taste much better. They're served with those cheap florescent green and florescent red tortilla chips Mexican restaurants abandoned in 1995. - The two pan sauteed Mahi platters were terrible. The fish seems frozen, and had apparently been lightly breaded and tossed in vinegar or something. My mother refused to eat it; my wife made the best of it. - The two platters came with lifeless, tasteless dollops of rice and lifeless, seemingly-frozen vegetables that identically resemble frozen vegetable combo bags at Publix. Even the baby carrots had those telling white striations in the meat which suggested freezer burn - The hog snapper platter was a small piece of very thin, very dry, very overcooked, crusted meat that was ordered jerk-style. There was some discoloring on the fish as if a half-hearted shake of jerk out of a Publix cannister was attempted, but there was zero jerk in this jerk fish. It was cooked beyond explanation, like a well done burger. - The seafood enchiladas I didn't taste but my stepdad ordered them. It looked like Taco Bell, not like real restaurant food, smothered with an unremarkable salsa and sour cream. I did see a tiny, cheap, previously frozen shrimp fall out onto the plate. He didn't finish the dish. In my mind, this restaurant is only deserved of two stars based upon the view, the cleanliness, perhaps the drinks and the staff. But it's certainly not an actual restaurant with an actual chef - it's more like a bunch of line cooks who may scratch out $11 an hour who can't afford the food they're cooking and therefore may not understand what to serve, how to serve it, nor how to prepare it and what the outcome should be. They certainly don't understand sauces or temperatures or subtleties. There's no love in this food whatsoever. If Lorelei in Islamorada is a one star restaurant - which it is - then Bayside Grille gets two stars only because they treat people with less contempt than Lorelei. If these facts or perceptions hurt the feelings of this proud owner, then I suggest they reexamine the kitchen, the menu, the kitchen staff and serving fresh-appearing seafood.

This little place is great. The only reason for the 3 stars is because it's a little hard to find...even used the directions from Yelp. The main DiGorgio's is a dinner restaurant on the street. Drive behind the restaurant for the bay side grill. The view is spectacular!

Stopped in here for a beer and pre-funk to watch Luke Sommer Glenn's 3-piece band. I wished I'd known about this place earlier in our trip because the location right on the water was perfect! There is a dock you can walk along, or simply put your feet in the sand and sit at a picnic table while listening to live music and enjoying your beverages. Service is friendly, and our server also happened to be from Seattle so we got to talk Seahawks. GO HAWKS! The bar closed down when the band was done (they were headed to another gig), so that's the only bummer. If you were coming here for an after-dinner drink, and had no other plans, your night would end pretty early. I think they ended up closing around 10:45 - 11pm. I'd easily stop in here again for a drink on the water, in this casual and laid-back environment.

This place was awesome! We went for dinner and to watch the sunset. The food was amazing. The staff was very friendly and attentive. After the sunset we stayed to listen to the live music. Great atmosphere.. ..relaxing, enjoyable. Not the place if you're looking for a wild party. It was just right for us. Loved it!

Nice way to wind down a hectic day traveling from Key West back to the north. Got a table immediately, our timing must have been about perfect. Very good band/music on the beach. It was cloudy and the sunset was not to be seen, but this would be a great spot to watch from. Coconut cake is a must, but share. All portions fairly large.

Went here on recommendation by the hotel staff. Food was great and the server was most helpful. The Pusser's Painkiller was perfect. Dinner rolls were delicious in tandem with their key line butter. My fish of the day (hogfish) was phenomenal. Not at all fishy. Great seasoning. Unfortunately, did t have enough room for some pie, but I'm most likely to get it when I return.

We stopped here on way to Key West on recommendation by Larry at visitor's center. The food is very good, the service is very good and the view is fantastic. We were impressed with the nice menu and the quality of our dinners. This looks like a fun place to be for happy hour.

While the experience didn't start out so positively with a hostess that was NOT friendly - the entire experience was AWESOME! Amazing sunset in the bar, happy hour was awesome! Hearing/seeing the bartender blow the conch she'll was pretty cool & the "pseudo" ring toss kept 3 kids entertained. Our bayview table was ready around 8pm where we could witness the final drop of the sun behind the horizon....... Our server Veronica (an Islamorada local) was great & super helpful. There is not enough we can say about our meals...... Reef & Beef to die for, Hogfish with Crabcake was stellar, fish tacos were some of the best ever and even the landlubber burger was cooked to perfection. The kids meals were great for all three of our kids..... Deep dish key lime pie was TO DIE FOR! It was our last night in the Keys & this restaurant was the best meal we had all week! Cannot wait to come back again!

My wife and I stopped at this eatery based on a local recommendation. Our server, Tammy, was lively and knowledgeable about the menu items. After much discussion and recommendations from Tammy, we settled on pasta and sausage and a personal sized seafood pizza. The food was delicious. The sausage and pasta is made on site. The seafood is all locally caught. We cannot wait to take another ride to key Largo and try some of the other menu choices. Thanks Tammy and the chef at DiGiorgio's

I dont understand how this place gets such good reviews. The only thing good about it is the view. The food is horrible. We even sent back an entire entree because it was so bad and the waitress didnt even offer to remove it from the bill. The crab cake appetizer was mushy and looked like cheap tuna from a can. Waitress told us thats how they are always made. The veggies weren't fresh and colorful but dark and defiantly from a can. Robert Irvine would have died at this place. Needless to say we left hungry.

My wife and I ate there last night for the first time. It became one of our top 10 dinning experiences. Service was outstanding, drinks were large and dinner was outstanding. My wife had the 3 different fish selection, and I had the ahi tuna. Everything was wonderful. The night was made even better by a spectacular sunset.

I went to bayside for a wedding. Everything was fantastic about the wedding! Thank you for that! John the manager and heather the banquet server on duty were absolutely outstanding! But..... After the wedding had ended my husband, the bride, and groom were finishing our drinks and I had to use the bathroom. The bartender ( a forty something blond) and a band member were chit chatting at the bar casually, I approached them and asked them if I could use the restroom and I was told they are closed and that I could go pee in the mangrove around the corner. At first I thought it was a joke but they weren't kidding then I was further insulted by the band member who told me to take my city a** and pee in the mangrove. Horrible!!!!! My brother had just spent a small fortune on a wedding and I can't use the the restroom nearly 5 minutes after closing time!

Great place to have dinner and watch the sunset. You can sit outside and enjoy the view with drinks, live music and a limited dinner menu or dine upstairs which is inside but still a great view and a great menu!

Nice place for dinner. Good selection on the menu and great specials menu. Service was excellent and the portion sizes are large. We ordered two selections from the special menu and two from the standard menu and all four were excellent! Great view of the sunset after dinner. Would definitely return.

Great view of the sunset during dinner. Great food and the BEST Key Lime Pie on the island!! It's their crust that puts it over the top! I've been here 3 times and never had a bad experience.
(4)Ashley P.
Great food and service! Wonderful view!! Best burger in south Florida! Another big fav is the Caesar salad with mahi definitely recommend!
(5)Andy V.
Love the view. Food was pretty good. No service on the beach/patio area. Great sunset area. Recommend the PainKiller rum drink
(4)A H.
Sunset and the service were all excellent. Food was so so, scallops were over cooked and mixed drink was short on mix and gin long on ice.
(2)John M.
(1)Erin P.
(4)Mai S.
Not many options of food. The mahi I ordered wasn't even cooked, it was slimey and gross I got sick after the first bite. Gross place, beautiful view.
(1)Brenda F.
(2)josh t.
(3)Barb H.
Amazing views. Great atmosphere. Laid back setting. Lovely staff. Food is okay. Would go back in a heart beat.
(4)Julia M.
Yum!
(4)Pedro D.
This review is for the worst mojito I ever had. I had the Key lime mojito which is the "House Specialty", I'm not sure if the bartender poured any rum on it, but it seemed like I paid $17 for two club soda with a splash of lime. If this is their signature drink I can't imagine the others.
(1)Phil F.
(5)Scott C.
Great place, the soups were good, salads average. The entrees were Pink shrimps, grilled mahi, and grillied yellowfin snapper. They were all seasoned well and delicious. Great Key lime pie
(3)Alex M.
(5)Jessica N.
Food options and quality are pretty standard for a beachside restaurant. However, it's the key lime pie that truly sets it apart, warranting a four star rating. We tried key lime pie at every place we ate at in the keys(5-6 places) and this is by far the best! Come for the view and the pie!
(4)Eric G.
Great view of sunset over Key Largo
(5)M K.
awesome setting right on the water, very friendly staff bar tenders and waitresses, drinks are reasonable and the key lime pie was simply amazing.
(4)laura m.
(2)Suzi B.
Great experience. We would definitely return. Good menu, great food and wonderful service!
(5)jason s.
Great place..yellowtail delicious..love key largo..nice view over bay Staff was friendly..good salad and wine..mango glaze on yellowtail was tastey.
(4)David R.
(3)Lisa M.
Fantastic place to view sunset. Food was very good.
(4)John F.
After a bad experience and a bad review, the owner personally contacted me and apologized for the poor service and offered to make it up to us. By then we had left Key Largo, but I appreciated the offer. So 5 stars goes to a caring owner. Plus, the food really did look and smell delicious.
(5)Chris R.
We ate here after dark so we missed the great views but I have to say the food was horrible as we're the drinks. The veggies are obviously from a bag. There is very little taste to the food. Mohitos were awful. Nice people, ok service but they need a chef and a real bartender.
(2)Travis R.
Good food but service can be slow downstairs. Great sunset view!
(3)Gena A.
(4)Jens H.
Had a very nice bucket of various fried sea food. Nice food but a bit heavy in the crust. Great fries.
(4)Natalie G.
(4)Christine N.
As recommended by other Yelpers, we ordered the seafood quesadillas and you know what? They are BETTER than was suggested. Outrageous! Nice vibe, good service, beautiful sunset views. Skip the themed cocktails and stick with the beer.
(4)Ruben D.
(1)Paul S.
Food and drinks were great. Service was slow. There were only 2 waitresses for over 12 tables. They need to hire more help. View and atmosphere is great.
(3)Omar S.
(3)Miranda C.
(2)Henry D.
I will never go back to this place. the Salad had brown lettuce, the Blackened scallops were not Blackened. The waiter agreed and said thats how they Blacken there. Yucky
(1)Michael F.
Great sunsets views on the water. Live entertainment downstairs. The restaurant food upstairs is very good but we found it a little tight with large walls blocking the beautiful bay views .Also restaurant is very hard to find. Still definitely worth a visit.
(3)Lance V.
Great view.
(4)Maggie C.
This is excellent Italian food, similar to Italian found in the northeast. We are there last year and couldn't wait to go back this year.
(5)Edwina M.
Had dinner here on Thursday night and again on Saturday night. Great place to watch the sunset and listen to live music. No waiting for a table either night. Fish tacos and mahi sandwich were both good, but not great. Still my favorite restaurant in Key Largo.
(4)Amy R.
(4)Susan B.
(4)Kate B.
Fish tacos were good but not awesome. Sweet potato fries were pretty similar to anywhere you go. Great experience though. Nice view, band playing... Staff made you feel welcome and were kind. I'd come back; their menu is vast! Orange rum cake was yummy :)
(3)Jessica C.
(5)Ross M.

(4)Jeff F.
Stopped here for dinner and a sunset view on my first evening in the Keys. Service was good, food was tasty and the sunset was totally killer. More like 3.5 stars. I'd recommend the Bayside Grill to anyone looking for a good meal at a reasonable price.
(3)Lynn H.
Dinner three nights in a row here. Great view, solid food, good service. Be aware that the "reserved" tables may not actually be reserved, so if you want a particular table that has a sign, ask directly. Walk out on the pier after dinner and check out the sea life in the sunken flood lights under it.
(4)Tess G.
Excellent Italian cuisine. Will definitely return. I am very particular about my my linguine and clams, and it was OUTSTANDING! Prices are reasonable as well. All in all, very happy with the experience.
(5)Terry W.
After reading some of the reviews i didnt know what to expect. Wow is all i can say. 6 people. 6 different meals and all were wonderful. Great service. Great sunset and the bbq mahi was delicious. Highy rec this place.
(4)Crystel W.
Good service great view unfortunately the food wasn't so great ordered blackened fish which was hardly cooked very fishy taste
(3)Nick M.

(4)Katerina S.

(4)Ruth D.

(1)David E.
I thought the food was very good. You must try the conch fritters. Great outside bar with live music and a fantastic view. Beer was nice and cold too. I would definitely return.
(5)Nicole S.

(5)Rafael S.

(5)Tamra M.
Fantastic view right on the water....good food at reasonable price! Bet it would be fab for sunset, but we were here for lunch!
(4)Kimberly C.
Cute ocean front view, nice waitress and incredible fries. We ordered the catch of the day, a mahi-mahi sandwich. The fish seemed very fresh. The furnishings and appearance were nice and new. We rode up on our kayaks, parked in the sand and had a memorable meal.
(4)Bramfy B.
SEAFOOD ENCHILADA - loved it Good live tunes too - sweet old guys band that still have it
(4)Regina B.
Most amazing conch fritters and fish tacos! The staff is extremely friendly. Feels like family. And you HAVE to have the key lime pie. Best in the keys!! The view is outstanding, especially at sunset.
(5)Monique S.

(4)Gerald B.

(1)Philip T.
Come here for the view. The food is decent but nothing special. The staff can be rude, especially the tall bald guy with glasses. Avoid him as he does not like tourists.
(3)Kathleen H.
The mahi mahi was the best ever. The Ahi salad & ginger dressing was awesome! Yum for the key lime pie
(5)Debbie B.
Great view on water, hogfish tacos, coconut shrimp all good Loved the key lime pie! friendly and fast service

(2)Aubrey K.
This little place is great. The only reason for the 3 stars is because it's a little hard to find...even used the directions from Yelp. The main DiGorgio's is a dinner restaurant on the street. Drive behind the restaurant for the bay side grill. The view is spectacular!
(3)Tara J.
(4)Maria H.
Loved it!
(5)Mitch W.
(4)william S.
(5)Gregg c.
We stopped here on way to Key West on recommendation by Larry at visitor's center. The food is very good, the service is very good and the view is fantastic. We were impressed with the nice menu and the quality of our dinners. This looks like a fun place to be for happy hour.
(4)Sarah M.
Amazing food, dessert, drinks, bar, view, and waitstaff. You will not be disappointed!
(5)Julio E.
Loved it. The seafood enchiladas was terrific. Key lime pie was a surprise it was great .
(4)scott w.
Super view, wonderful food. Seafood enchiladas, chicken and shrimp sandwich, split a house salad and could not finish!
(4)Teri M.
The 'shrimpcargot' was excellent said hubby The krabcake was ok Shrimp diablo was good And the hogfish was tasty but too mild for my liking. Not the restaurants fault
(4)Marta H.
(5)Standonit M.
(5)Elizabeth S.
(1)DeWitt C.
(5)Karina H.
(2)Caitlin B.
Great place to have dinner and watch the sunset. You can sit outside and enjoy the view with drinks, live music and a limited dinner menu or dine upstairs which is inside but still a great view and a great menu!
(5)Brian S.
Nice place for dinner. Good selection on the menu and great specials menu. Service was excellent and the portion sizes are large. We ordered two selections from the special menu and two from the standard menu and all four were excellent! Great view of the sunset after dinner. Would definitely return.
